The Moppit Show was founded by Matthew Hypher in February 2015 after a period of ill health left him unable to continue his previous career in the care sector. Having spent almost a decade working in care, Matthew understood the importance of creating clean, safe and welcoming environments—but with very little capital available to start a new business, he had to begin modestly.
Armed with little more than a vacuum cleaner, a handful of cloths and a determination to succeed, The Moppit Show was built one client at a time. From the very beginning, Matthew recognised a gap in the market for a cleaning company that delivered outstanding results without relying on harsh chemicals. That vision became the foundation of the business and remains at the heart of everything we do today.
Our philosophy is simple:

Instead, we use carefully selected eco-friendly cleaning products that are effective, responsible and safer for people, pets and the environment.
Over the years, what began as a one-person venture has grown into a family business. Matthew’s wife, Alex, joined the company as a partner, helping to shape the high standards and personal service that our clients know and trust. More recently, their daughter Jade became part of the team, bringing fresh ideas, strong organisational skills and a creative approach to managing our online presence.
Today, The Moppit Show proudly serves domestic and commercial clients across Carmarthenshire and the surrounding areas, providing everything from regular domestic cleaning and office cleaning to holiday let changeovers, carpet and upholstery cleaning, oven cleaning and after builders cleaning.
Although the business has grown considerably since 2015, our values have remained exactly the same: honesty, reliability, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to doing the job properly.

Matthew founded The Moppit Show in 2015 and oversees the day-to-day operation of the business. Alongside managing client relationships, quotations and business development, he continues to work on-site, ensuring every project meets the high standards that have become synonymous with The Moppit Show.
Alex
Textile Care Specialist, Hygiene Technician & Partner
Alex is a partner in the business and plays a vital role in delivering the meticulous standards our clients expect. She specialises in garment care and professional ironing, ensuring clothing, household linens and other textiles are finished to an exceptionally high standard as part of our ironing service.
Jade
Senior Hygiene Technician, Team Supervisor & Content Manager
Jade is responsible for supervising cleaning operations while helping to maintain the consistent standards The Moppit Show is known for. She also manages our social media content, giving customers a behind-the-scenes look at our work and helping to showcase the professionalism, personality and values of the business online.
