These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of The Moppit Show cleaning services (“Services”) provided by The Moppit Show (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by this Agreement. Please read these terms carefully before using our Services.

1. Service Agreement

1.1. Scope of Services: We provide professional cleaning services as described on our website or as agreed upon in writing.

1.2. Service Limitations: Our Services do not include any specialised cleaning tasks that require professional certification or licensing, such as pest control, mold remediation, or hazardous waste removal.

1.3. Service Availability: We strive to provide our Services on the agreed-upon date and time. However, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1. Booking: To book our Services, you must provide accurate and complete information about your cleaning requirements. By booking our Services, you confirm that you have the authority to grant us access to the premises for cleaning purposes.

2.2. Pricing and Payment: The pricing for our Services will be communicated to you at the time of booking. Payment is due upon completion of the cleaning service, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept payment by cash, credit card, or other agreed-upon methods.

2.3. Cancellation and Rescheduling: If you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, please provide us with at least two working days notice. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee.

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1. Access and Safety: You are responsible for providing safe and unobstructed access to the premises for our cleaning staff. You must inform us of any potential hazards or risks present on the premises.

3.2. Valuables and Breakables: You are responsible for securing or removing any valuable or fragile items from the areas to be cleaned. We are not liable for any loss or damage to such items unless caused by our negligence.

3.3. Cooperation: You agree to cooperate with our cleaning staff and provide any necessary instructions or information to ensure the satisfactory completion of the cleaning service.

3.4 Late Payments: Any payments not received by the due date specified in the invoice shall be subject to late payment fees as outlined in current gov.uk legislation. Interest will also be charged on any outstanding amounts in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Failure to pay invoices in a timely manner may result in legal action being taken to recover the outstanding amount.

3.5 Pets and Animals: At The Moppit Show, we prioritise the safety and well-being of both our clients and our personnel. We understand that many of our clients have pets, and while we love animals, we must address certain considerations regarding pets that may be present during our cleaning services.

  1. Pet Behaviour: Clients are responsible for ensuring that their pets are properly restrained or secured in a separate area during our cleaning visits. This includes, but is not limited to, dogs, cats, and any other animals that may pose a risk of interference with our cleaning equipment or personnel. Unrestricted animals may lead to potential accidents, damage to our equipment, or injury to our staff.
  2. Liability for Damage: The Moppit Show is not liable for any damage caused by pets to our equipment or to our personnel during the course of our services. This includes damage to tools, machinery, or any other items we may use while providing our cleaning services. Clients will be financially responsible for any repairs or replacements necessary due to damages caused by their pets.
  3. Notification: Clients are encouraged to inform us in advance about the presence of any pets in the home. This allows us to take appropriate precautions and ensure a safe working environment for everyone involved.
  4. Handling Emergencies: In the event that a pet poses an immediate threat to the safety of our staff, we reserve the right to halt our services until the situation is resolved. This may include asking the client to secure their pet or, in some cases, rescheduling the appointment.

By agreeing to these terms, clients acknowledge their responsibility in managing their pets during our cleaning services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and efficient working environment for both our team and your beloved animals.

4. Liability and Insurance

4.1. Limitation of Liability: We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our Services. However, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from our Services, except in cases of our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4.2. Insurance: We maintain appropriate liability insurance coverage. Our insurance coverage is limited to the amount specified in our insurance policy and is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. Ownership: All intellectual property rights related to our Services, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, and content, are owned by the Company. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

6.1. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

6.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

7. Amendments and Termination

7.1. Amendments: We reserve the right to modify or amend this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting the updated Agreement on our website. Your continued use of our Services after the changes will constitute your acceptance of the modified Agreement.

7.2. Termination: Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to the other party. Termination does not relieve you of any payment obligations incurred before the termination date.
